Genshin Impact is going to organize a live stream reveal of all the changes that will come with update 1.2. Some data miners have uncovered juicy details regarding new creatable legendary weapons, along with an interesting weapon reward from an unknown event.

Genshin Impact Update 1.2 will introduce new weapon resources

This update will take travelers through the Icy Mountains of Dragonspine where new enemies, domains, and new resources in Star sliver, dragon tooth will await them. These new resources are going to be significantly important for players, as it poises them to be used in forging the new legendary weapons.

Legendary weapons & suitable characters

The game does not have a Cryo catalyst user, but the addition of this weapon can change that. The same goes for the Dragonspine spear- there are no Cryo polearm users. The only rumored polearm character is the Adeptus God ‘Xiao’, who is going to be an Anemo user.

The new star-tombed Starsilver sword is already looking like a great weapon for a fan-favorite character in Chongyun. He offers so much to the team with his amazing kit that a claymore like that will turn him into the best Cryo character.

Festering Desire is reportedly a reward that can be earned. The event could lead most players to get their hands on it. It is suited for Claymore users like Razor, Diluc, and Chongyun that are already used as the main DPS, as it offers a unique crit rate to your elemental skills.

It is not workable to believe everything that is revealed through leaks as the developers can always change things as they did with Zhongli.  If things remain the way they are in the image, then players should farm all relevant resources that could help them forge the weapon, as these items appear to be extremely powerful, should they remain unchanged.
