Ghost of Tsushima and Monster Hunter Rise received the highest honor (Game of the Year) at the Tokyo Game Show on 2 October 2021 (Saturday). Both titles also won an Award for Excellence along with other 8 titles, including Genshin Impact, The Last of Us 2, Resident Evil 3, Final Fantasy VII Remake. Only the titles released between April 2020 and March 2021 in Japan were eligible for this prestigious award.
