PlayStation fans were elated last year when they finally got to experience the much-awaited God of War Ragnarok from Santa Monica Studio. It’s already known how much love gaming fanatics showered on it and eventually made it one of the top winners in 2022’s Game Awards event. Yes, it missed out on the ultimate crown, but it was the most awarded title compared to rest of the nominees.

The impact of God of War Ragnarok has been so massive that it’s still a very popular title to talk about. Recently, one of the faces from the PS5 blockbuster appeared on a podcast show. It featured none other than the actress who plays Freya in the iconic franchise from Sony. While she was there to talk more about video games, an interesting twist led her to discuss movies as well. And that’s when she revealed her favorite Hollywood flick from last year.

Although Danielle Bisutti is known for her amazing performance as Amanda Cantwell on the Nickelodeon TV series True Jackson, she is most notably recognized as Freya. All gaming fans know her by this name ever since she took on the now-iconic role in the beloved PlayStation series four years ago.

Recently, she had appeared on the YouTube podcast called What’s Up PlayStation. Its episodes are hosted by Persona and Jay Bari who keep having interactions with renowned personalities on their channel. This time, they had none other than Danielle, aka, Freya from God of War Ragnarok. While the three of them had a deep conversation on video games, the hosts wanted to know few other things as well from the actress.

On their show, Persona and Jay Bari have this game called ‘Either Or’ with their guests. So they had a similar situation for Danielle as well, where she had to answer three questions and choose one option out of the given two things for each of them. Apart from asking about her favorite game, the hosts then asked the actress about her favorite Hollywood movie as well from last year. The two options she got were Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun Maverick.

Danielle Bisutti went with Top Gun Maverick. The 2022 film, starring Tom Cruise, was one of the biggest blockbusters from last year. However, the actress had a deep explanation for why she chose Top Gun over Avatar. She said that watching Maverick in theaters in the summer of 2022 was a unique experience.

She said that “Top Gun Maverick was like Your Glory Days, like when you go to your high school reunion and you’re like ‘yeah I made something of myself in the world, check this out.’ It felt like going back and returning to like, the great days of Cinema in the movie theater.”

Continuing further, she praised actor Tom Cruise who did a phenomenal job in the film, performing his own breathtaking stunts as usual. Basically, she wanted to mention the significance of Top Gun and its timing of release. It came out when the world was gradually going back to normal conditions following the dark phase caused by the pandemic. And when it hit theaters, it felt like “God and magic and universe, and they hit at the right perfect moment.”
