God of War: Ragnarok launched to critical acclaim in 2022. Fans found it hard to get over its excellent aesthetics and its captivating performances. In the gameplay department, too, this PlayStation exclusive did not disappoint. It was every bit as fluid as its predecessor, God of War 2018.

At the end of the day, all the effort put into this game by its developers made sure that it won a bunch of accolades at The Game Awards 2022. It is usual for most developers to move on from a game this long after its launch, but Sony Santa Monica decided to take this game a step ahead with a new update.

God of War: Ragnarok receives New Game Plus and a bunch of new features in the latest update!

Aside from an action-packed story set in the world of Norse mythology, God of War: Ragnarok is all about fast-paced, fluid action. Players often find themselves lost in this game’s breathtaking action sequences and such.

Aside from its action, the world of God of War: Ragnarok is full of secrets to find and enemies to conquer. Once players put their minds to it, they would find themselves exploring this game long after the main story has ended. Now, they have a reason to start playing this game yet again after having accomplished everything in their initial playthrough.

The developers of this epic action-adventure have finally added a new game-plus mode to it. Players can now restart their adventure with all their equipment intact in their inventory and all their armor pieces too. Although Atreus would lose access to his specialized arrows, other than that, everything would remain the same.

Other than this new game plus mode, players get access to a bunch of new equipment, such as Armor of the Black Bear, the armor that Kratos is seen wearing at the start of the game, Spartan Armor a throwback to Kratos’s original look, Ares Armor, Zeus Armor, and the Spartan Aspis Shield.

A bunch of older armor has been updated with new color combinations and appearance styles.

A new level cap and much more stuff are added too!

Alongside the exciting additions mentioned above, this game has received a new, increased level cap due to the new game Plus mode. All the fully upgraded pieces of armor and equipment would now be upgradeable to a plus variant.

New Enchantments

This update also brings players some new enchantments to add to their equipment so that they can make their build even more unique. This new update adds Gilded Coins, Berserker Soul Drops, and Burdens.

Finally, this game adds a bunch of gameplay and visual features, such as Black and White Render Mode, a skip cinematic option, and bosses and enemy adjustments.
