In the Tweet, MBG said, “God of War Ragnarok’s combat designer confirmed Kratos is going to be much more brutal in this game. It will be a lot closer to the version of Kratos from the earlier God of War titles.”

How did fans react to this news?

The fans of the series were ecstatic to know that the old Kratos may make a grand return. Although they loved the path that the series had taken in the 2018 game, there is a part that remains in their hearts, who wants to see the Ghost of Sparta go back to his roots.

Some of the fans even started speculating as to why the devs decided to go back to the old ways. As in the previous game, Kratos was more of a dad than a God, who was trying his best to set a good example for his son.
