This remake was more Call of Duty than GoldenEye though. And people were not very impressed with it.

The game was brought back to the public eye by an announcement that Nintendo made in September 2022. It was announced that this game was coming back as a Remaster for Nintendo Switch online users and Xbox owners.

The lack of any solid launch date was frustrating for fans. They wanted to know the release date but got no straight answers. But after months, the answer is finally here. The game would be released for Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online + expansion pass owners on January 27, 2023.

This game also brings with it an option to play its classic multiplayer online, which adds just another layer of replayability to it.

Now all that remains for us to see is, when would Microsoft show fans that remake of Perfect Dark, and if that game would come to Nintendo Switch too.

This year would bring a number of remasters to Switch

It appears 2023 would be the year of remasters for Switch. The upcoming Metroid Prime trilogy for Switch console has been all but confirmed. And there are numerous other games that are also rumored to come to this console.

Games like The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, etc have reportedly been in the works for this system for years. So let us see when we finally get to play these games on this hybrid console!
