Players fondly remember booting up Grand Theft Auto V for the first time on their PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s. The game is 8 years old. Even after almost a decade, the game has managed to stay afloat. This is due to the consistent content added by Rockstar Games.

Players love the characters of the game, as they are very well written. And it appears that one of the main characters has undergone a massive life change, as seen in the new DLC, The Contract.

Franklin, after the events of Grand Theft Auto 5

The current state of affairs in Grand Theft Auto Online is in fact taking place 8 years after the events of the game’s singleplayer. This is the reason why buildings, vehicles, and weapons are being constantly updated. The city of Los Santos is affected by the passage of time as well.

Franklin Clinton is a protagonist of the series. He is the first character players have full control over in the open-world setting. He is new to the world of organized crime as well. However, it seems that 8 years after the events of the game, Franklin’s life has drastically changed.

A Twitter user pointed out that Franklin’s house located in Vinewood Hills is now a bit different.


It seems that Franklin now has his own family. New cars in the driveway indicate that there is someone else with Franklin. The existence of a slide does fully confirms that Franklin even has a kid. For players who hung around with the character 8 years ago, this minor change is bound to be a tear-jerker.
