Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass Progression System Will be Very Different from Other Games

Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass progression differs greatly from other battle games. It doesn’t have per-match XP. Halo Infinite is that one game that has received a lot of praises even before the release. Players were first quite happy with the Battle Pass as it will never expire. There was so fearful of missing out on anything. It is permanent, so the season one Battle Pass will be there forever. Players can easily go back to select it and activate it to earn progression.
However, the new Halo Infinite Battle Pass Progression is not getting the same warm welcome. Fans are worried about the multiplier progression. Other major battle games use the XP system to progress. Looks like Halo Infinite is trying something unique as it will tie all the progression in Battle Pass to completing challenges in-game.

John Junyszek also confirmed this from the official Twitter handle. He wrote, “Planning and winning matches will be challenging, which will help players progress through the Battle Pass. Even though this means no per match XP at launch, you are still always progressing through challenges and therefore the BP.” Later, he also clarified the point that it is difficult to run out of daily challenges.

“I won’t say impossible, cause there are some grinders out there, but I’d be impressed.” Clearly, Halo Infinite is not using the traditional Battle Pass route. In other major games, progressing is gained through plays and matches. The more and more you play, the play the more progress you get. In Call of Duty’s latest Battle Pass, the progression is gained through play, daily challenges, weekly challenges, and seasonal challenges. This news is certainly a big surprise for all the Halo fans.
