Halo Infinite Season 5’s player count has remarkably risen, and fans are strongly supporting the game’s growth. When Halo Infinite first launched, it encountered various challenges that caused its player base to decline. These challenges encompassed problems with progression systems, monetization, and the absence of certain game modes.

Microsoft’s latest Season 5 update is introducing significant changes. It includes decisions that were considered controversial, such as the removal of split-screen multiplayer. Additionally, it addresses previous issues like delayed additions, such as Forge mode and online campaign co-op. This is how they plan to do it.

Season 5’s launch saw a significant resurgence in player numbers. On October 18, Steam experienced a spike in concurrent players, reaching 18,000, marking the game’s highest peak in 17 months since Season 2’s release. This boost took Halo Infinite right into the top 50 most-played games on Steam, based on concurrent players.

The peak player counts in Season 5 have surpassed those of the previous seasons, notably Season 4 and Season 3. Day 1 of Season 5, for instance, saw 18,007 players, whereas Day 1 of Season 4 only had 12,705 players. The momentum continued, with Day 5 of Season 5 achieving a peak player count of 15,467, which is substantially higher than Season 4’s 8,831. The remarkable statistic, however, is the “Season 5/S4”, showing that by Day 5 of Season 5, it has achieved a peak player count 2.43 times that of Season 4, indicating a significant player count increase in this latest season.
