Super Mario Maker is one of the popular game franchises among the players. Developed by Nintendo, this franchise currently offers two games, Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2. The main USP of this game was it offered a variety of tools in a friendly user interface to design their own levels. From blocks to enemies, Super Mario Maker offered players to choose from styles that are similar to older Mario games. 

Super Mario Maker 2 developed the existing gameplay by bringing more tools and designs for players. Despite its success, Nintendo is yet to bring a third installment in the franchise. While there is so much excitement, one Super Mario Maker fan brought his own version of the franchise’s third title. 

An unofficial Super Mario Maker 3 made many rounds on the media

Although Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker 3 seemed a faraway project, a fan took the responsibility of bringing his own version of the game to Unity. This fan labelled as Smashy on YouTube spoke about his love for Mario. Fans could spot that the majority of his videos are related to Mario. However, this time he superseded all the creations by making a perfect Super Mario Maker 3.

This game featured Mario in a brown tee with a red dungaree suit. He was travelling through landscapes, waters and dungeons, fighting turtles with green and red shells. There were also spiked round objects, stopping Mario on his way. However, the main interesting aspect of the game was the reward coins. Throughout the clip, Mario was spotted collecting bitcoins. 

From more adventures to exciting gameplay, this unofficial Super Mario Maker 3 definitely received many praises from the fans. While this video brought nostalgia to the fans, it also expressed the amazing creativity and hard work behind such endeavors.

Will Nintendo bring Super Mario Maker 3? 

Well, it is hard to tell. Rumors suggested that after Super Mario Maker 2’s launch in 2019, developers weren’t satisfied with its performance and response from the fans. Although the debut game of the franchise performed way better becoming one of the popular games of 2D platforms, its sequel couldn’t do well in the market.
