There just isn’t any shortage of fan speculation about Starfield. Bethesda’s most anticipated game of the year is likely to give players thousands of hours’ worth of exploration time within its vast universe. At the Xbox Showcase 2023, the devs declared that there will be over 1,000 planets for the players to explore. While many of the planets will have human habitation, some will be at the far reaches of the galaxy and beyond human knowledge. At the Showcase, the devs also revealed that many of these uninhabited planets are likely to host buildings like prisons, research facilities, or outposts.

A recent thread on the group r/Starfield engaged followers for their ideas about what kind of outposts they’re going to build and on which planets; and the answers have all kinds of wild imaginations.

Starfield will let you build whatever you want, wherever you want

Since its announcement, the community has been following all developments keenly. Bethesda claimed that Starfield is one of their biggest projects ever. The initial announcement trailer had grabbed the fans by their necks but the community still has to wait six more months before getting aboard their spaceships.

The vast scale of Starfield seems too good to be true to many. However, Bethesda promises that all 1,000 planets will be available for exploration and players can colonize some of them as well. While New Atlantis is supposedly the biggest city in the Starfield universe, many other planets are likely to host various life forms as well. However, not all planets will have immense buildings or human civilizations. Many planets are likely to have structures dedicated to research operations or be used as outposts by players. The sheer prospect has many fans already making plans on what to do across the Starfield galaxy.

Wild outpost ideas are incoming

A recent post on r/Starfield tried to engage discussions among fans asking for their outpost plans or which planet could be their choice to build such structures. Fans didn’t hesitate to come forward with their wild ideas. One fan said his outpost will be on a planet that has freezing temperatures so he can enjoy his hot cocoa beside the fireplace.
