From the day Hogwarts Legacy came out, fans have been wishing for a crossover with the Harry Potter world. And looking at recent developments, their wish may soon become a reality. A face from the Harry Potter world has just teased an announcement for this Avalanche Software title.

This arrival follows the title’s release on the previous-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The reception of the game has also been mostly favorable so far, with over $1 billion in sales estimated. Now gearing for a Nintendo Switch launch on July 25, the announcement from a Harry Potter actor has surprised multiple Potterheads.

Will this Slytherin actor be joining Hogwarts Legacy?

Recently in a YouTube video, the actor who played Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton, can be seen teasing a possible event with Hogwarts Legacy. The video, via PCGamesN, features Hogwarts Legacy’s Sebastian Sallow talking to someone in the shadows. He welcomes the silhouetted figure into Slytherin, which is later displayed to be Felton. “Hello, Sebastian,” Felton greets Sebastian back.

The screen then displays an event for Hogwarts Legacy titled Into the Shadows with Tom Felton coming on May 9. Even with Felton’s recently revealed connection to the game, many fans are still skeptical about the nature of the connection.

They are speculating whether he will be joining the game or if it was just a fan service video. Moreover, no official release makes this even suspicious.

Roadblocks in Felton’s arrival in the Hogwarts game

These doubts have arisen due to many factors. The foremost reason is no plans for a DLC from the developers at Avalanche Software. Although Warner Bros. wants to develop it into a franchise, currently this game will not get a DLC, as confirmed by Avalanche’s Alan Tew. So it is tough to figure out how Felton will join without a DLC.

Also, Hogwarts Legacy’s timeline can be a challenge for introducing Felton’s character Draco Malfoy. The timeline of the game is set in the 1890s, around a century before when Malfoy entered Hogwarts.
