Hogwarts Legacy has finally gone gold!
Recently, the developers of this upcoming role-playing game announced that the game has finally gone gold. A game going gold means its first disc has been written, meaning it’s ready for shelves now.
And whenever a game goes gold, it means there would be no more delay and developers would aim for launch now. But this time Hogwarts Legacy’s going gold does not mean exactly that. This time the game has only gone gold for PlayStation 5, Xbox X and S, and PC. All other consoles would have to wait a bit longer.

These delayed dates were announced by the developer through their Twitter account. It stated “Hogwarts Legacy will launch on April 4, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. The team is looking forward to bringing you the game and we want to deliver the best possible game experience across all platforms.”
Fans are taking this delay as a result of low power on the last-gen consoles. Nintendo Switch’s delay is specifically significant. The fact that this game was announced for Switch the same day as other consoles, and there is no news of developmental delays or hiccups as of yet.
So we can hope when this game comes to the last-gen consoles and Nintendo Switch, it would be a flawless experience.
