Last of Us is better: HBO showrunner
HBO is developing the live-action series of the fan-favorite game Last of Us; amidst this, an HBO showrunner took a dig at video games. According to Canadian YouTuber and video game analyst, Matt McMuscles, the showrunner said that ‘video games are not that accessible and people had to turn to Channel 3.’
"Typically, video games are not very accessible. You always have to turn the TV to channel 3, and the picture is always very fuzzy.
The Last of Us changed that." – HBO showrunner of the series pic.twitter.com/jHpZ2drGBg— Matt McMuscles – Hungry Wolf Back on The Prowl! (@MattMcMuscles) December 30, 2022
This statement has sparked a debate in online communities. Video games are known to have some excellent storylines. The adaptation of many video games into movies or series franchises is a prime example of this.

Twitter reactions to the statement
Many gamers on the Twitter platform responded immediately to this quote by one of the showrunners. They called out the person for being rude towards games. They went on to take a dig back at the showrunner calling the live-action series inferior to the game.
We already know it's going to be inferior to the games. The hype isn't helping things. I think the videogame curse has moved from film to television.

Really sucks, because Craig Mazin made Chernobyl and he absolutely nailed that show. But they all can't escape the boomer mindset.
