Popular streamer Valkyrae (otherwise known as Rae) revealed how her Dad used to think she works for PayPal! Well, we, millennials, have always found it hard to explain ‘video games’ to parents! Alongside us, we have Valkyrae who had also gone through a similar situation. However, she certainly misses her father dearly.

Being a popular streamer on YouTube isn’t an easy feat in itself, and Valkyrae has even made it to the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 list. In fact, she had tweeted about her dream to feature in a Forbes list back in 2021, only to be featured on the list the very next year! Currently, she has over 3.6M subscribers on YouTube.

Rae had made her shift from Twitch to YouTube back in 2020, owing to a multi-year exclusivity deal with YouTube. She is also the co-owner of 100 Thieves, a thriving gaming organization and a lifestyle brand.

Valkyrae talks about her dad, says she wishes he was here

In a recent interview with Rae, she revealed the popular content creator had once posted some incredibly relatable tweets about her life. Twitter Gaming, a Valkyrae fan account, hosted a pretty intriguing interview starring the YouTube star, and of course, a selection of her old tweets.

While most of them caused her to laugh and become slightly nostalgic, one of her tweets was about how she misses her father.

As she read the tweet, Valkyrae opened up about how she still wishes her father was here to see her. “I really wish my Dad was here to see… all of this stuff that has been going on recently” she nostalgically revealed. She also added that her father wasn’t really aware of what she did for her career.

Valkyrae had lost her father to cancer back in 2017. Since then, she has been upfront about how she misses her dad on social media. Losing a parent defines utmost pain, and she has endured the hardest of all emotions.
