An unexpected occurrence in the DOTA 2 2023 Berlin Major has won the hearts of fans and internet users all over the world. During one of the breaks in the tournament, a couple shared a heartfelt moment that made the entire arena cheer for the first time outside of a match. The sweet memory will most surely go down in the history of the sport. 

The Berlin event has been an exciting one. Featuring teams like Gaimin Gladiators, 9Pandas, and Team Liquid. So far, the Gaimin Gladiators have managed to dominate the tournament by winning all their matches. In the recently wrapped grand finale of the tournament, GG faced Team Liquid and were crowned the champions of the Berlin Major 2023. 

Wholesome marriage proposal in DOTA 2 Berlin Major 2023 

During one of the breaks between matches, the hosts of the show, SirActionSlacks, and Tsunami, were interacting with the audience, conducting interviews to collect opinions from the fans and keeping the crowd entertained during downtime. But during one of these interviews, an unexpected situation happened that baffled everyone in the arena.

While interviewing a female fan in the gallery, her partner, who was wearing a Team Liquid jersey, kneeled down in front of her and proposed to her in front of the camera. Witnessing the situation, the crowd erupted with cheers. The organizers also helped the couple by broadcasting them on the big screen for everyone to witness their happiness and make the moment unforgettable. 

According to their comments, the couple met each other almost eight years ago in a pub. Both of them shared a passion for video games and competitive eSports. Although the woman had no idea, the man had been planning his proposal for quite some time as they both shared a similar passion for eSports, so he thought no place could be more ideal for his proposal.

After the lower bracket matchup between the 9Pandas and Team Liquid, TL moved forward to the finals to meet the Gaimin Gladiators in the finals. After a spectacular Grand Finale, Gaimin Gladiators bagged the championship and the prize of $500,000 USD, along with 2700 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points.
