The OG Chapter of Fortnite is coming to an end. But it’s not going down without a grand showdown. The nostalgia-filled season resonated magically with the gaming community. Now, with the final week of the OG month going live on November 23, 2 pm GMT, fans will have one last run on the familiar island with updated maps. The stakes are high as the developers want Fortnite OG to go out with a bang. After everything it has given tot he players, a huge end is only fitting. So, here’s every major map change arriving with the latest update.

Fortnite OG map changes introduce the ‘meteor’ 

The transitioning Seasons 9 and X, which will be the last updates in the month-long homecoming season, are arriving with some interesting new innovations with the map. While there hasn’t been any major change to the iconic island, there are plenty of additions fans would enjoy witnessing during the last run. 

According to leaks sourced to credible Epic Games insiders, the following are the map changes that would be included in the Season X update:

  • The meteor from Season X is set to make its return, suspended above Dusky Divot. Similar to the first one, you can land and enter the meteor from the side, revealing The Scientist’s landing pod. However, the Divot hasn’t been changed back to the original Dusky Depot. 
  • Kado Thorne’s time machine has been attached to the rocket.

  • The inside of the Depot has been upgraded with some tech. 
  • The Zero Point is now exposed below the floating island at Loot Lake.

  • The dog scrapyard sign and the Tilted Towers clock tower aren’t at Junk Junction since the events of Chapter 1 were altered in this version.

Ending the carnival with ‘Big Bang’ 

Fortnite’s big boom event will begin in around ten days. On December 2 at 2 p.m. ET or 11 a.m. PT, fans from all over the world, will witness Eminem’s live concert in the game and get an introduction to his skin and cosmetics. It will be the last event of the original game season and, hopefully, a spectacular introduction to the upcoming Fortnite chapter.

For all the fans wondering what Epic Games has to offer once the OG festival ends, the Big Bang event’ might just be the transition to a whole new brand of Battle Royale! Following some credible leaks, there are strong speculations around the Lego collaboration arriving in the game anytime around December 7. The lineup following the end of Chapter 4 certainly looks more promising than ever as Epic Games is in no mood to give up the newfound spotlight.
