Xbox finally allows players access to emulators in the browser

A recent video by a YouTuber named Modern Vintage Gamer highlights the new emulation abilities of the browser. The video also explains that PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, SEGA Genesis, and other games perform accurately on the new Edge.

With the new update, players can simply fire up the console and open the Edge browser. Then, players will need to find a website that can run a Javascript-based version of the emulator. Several websites allow this feature, so finding them won’t be a hard task.

The new and powerful hardware of the Xbox series X and S make it ideal to run these Javascript codes. As Javascript is not a very fast language, the browser and the hardware need to do some heavy lifting to run the codes smoothly.

Since the new Xbox consoles are fairly powerful consoles, running these emulator-based games is easy. Modern Vintage Gamer also stated that emulators like the Gamecube, Nintendo Wii, and the Sega Dreamcast are currently out of bounds.

However, what’s available is surely worth a shot. Players can run Sony PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, SEGA Genesis. Do keep in mind that this is not a legal way, since you can’t load your own games via browser. Nonetheless, it’s a good thing that players can play classic games on their Xbox consoles.
