Hogwarts Legacy was one of the most anticipated games of 2023. Developed by Avalanche Software, this game became one of the most popular games among Potter-heads. Set in the RPG universe, Hogwarts Legacy didn’t grant priority to the character Harry Potter like many of the similar themed games. It instead tried to create a distinct world of magic for every player who played this game. 

Following its prequel’s legacy, fans are eagerly expecting a brand-new Hogwarts Legacy 2 to make its way to the public very soon. However, Avalanche didn’t confirm any concrete news on that matter. Although fans are yet to be sure of whether Hogwarts Legacy 2 will finally come to the people, who can stop their excitement in discussing aspects they want in the sequel?

Fans demand a new Hogwarts Legacy 2 protagonist

Hogwarts Legacy received much appreciation for depicting a detailed  Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This role-playing game offered players the ability to create their own character and be part of a Hogwarts house based on their personalities revealed through in-game questions. Additionally, players’ actions determined the abilities and performance of their characters, which was one of the main USPs of this game. After this game’s release, fans seemed to appreciate its overall gameplay very much.

However, recently one Hogwarts Legacy fan was spotted on Reddit with a differing opinion. He felt that the main character of Hogwarts Legacy was created with more powerful abilities than Voldemort and Dumbledore combined in one game.

He felt that the way the main character was created, there was no other powerful entity in-game to defeat her- “Avalanche made a mistake in making the MC of Hogwarts Legacy too damn powerful (more powerful than Voldy & Dumbledore in one game). MC is already the “Jesus” of the Wizarding World so there’s not much else they can do with him/her.”

Adding to his comment, he discussed whether they would like a more practical character of a new student in the game- “nah, start fresh with a new protagonist, and a regular student at that who isn’t the chosen one. Being a regular, non-special student would actually be more interesting from a narrative & rpg perspective.”
