You, as a fifth-year student in Hogwarts Legacy, overhear some other students discussing the voice of the mermaid that they heard, and that’s when you meet Ominis Gaunt. Omnis does not share the supremacist beliefs held by other members of his inbred family, in contrast to other family members.

He does not relish torturing or attacking defenseless Muggles. He was made to study and practice the Cruciatus torture spell as a child, one of the unforgivable curses. But how is it possible that he is related to the dark, evil Lord Voldemort?

In the 1930s, the sacred 28 was a list of families that were still considered pureblood. One of the most well-known and affluent families in the wizarding community, the house of Gaunt descended from several potent magical wizards and witches. But there is a real villain in this clan.

Is Ominis from Hogwarts legacy truly linked to Voldemort?

If you desire a different experience from what we saw in the original work, movie adaptations, and even video games in the past, then you would have heard Ominis’ story the first time you came into the common room if you chose the Slytherin house in Hogwarts Legacy. He goes on to say that his family is not only pure-blooded but also has a deep affinity to dark magic.

The Gaunts had even gone so far as to cast the Crucio curse on innocent Muggles “for sport.” It is also revealed that even Ominis was a victim of this spell after he refused to entertain their sport. But Ominis held his ground and was later divided from his family. On top of that, Ominis Gaunt was born blind.

Voldemort was determined to be a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, founder of the Slytherin house, in the Harry Potter series, and his mother’s name was Merope Gaunt. Thus, it is evident that there is a relationship between the two characters owing to Voldemort’s mother’s original surname.

Now it is not sure how the connection can be made between the two. But if there is one, it will be interesting how the creators of the game will make it work to make the fanbase as thrilled as possible.
