The new Avalanche Software’s RPG is one of the most loved games released this year. According to most responses, the anticipation around Hogwarts Legacy lived up to them. The game is complex, with a wide variety of avenues wizards can explore. You can cast spells, duel with enemies, explore the entire available open world, and more.

But there are some things that may sound simple but are often missed out on in the game.

Many of you may have encountered some feature or the other, which was right out there in the open, pretty late in the game. These are eight such things that many miss out on in the game and are actually pretty easy to find.

8) Revelio on Broom

The most spammed spell during exploration for almost every wizard is Revelio. The spell pops out every near item or interactable object near you. These are pretty handy when you are exploring an area and it becomes difficult to find the needed items. But, the spell has a limited range. You can see this when you cast the spell. There is a trick to amplify the area when you are exploring outdoors.

You just need to get on a broom and cast the revealing spell. It has a much wider range compared to casting it on foot. Moreover, you can even see the marked locations which you revealed earlier while casting the spell on the broom.

7) Hoods of cosmetics

This is a rather simple one, but many might have missed out on this or taken a bit too long to understand. You can customize your clothing and accessories according to your wishes. And for dresses that have hoods, you can actually put them up.

Yes, many of you might have done this, but this is a feature that slips the vision for some players. All you have to do to put the hoods up for certain clothes is to navigate to the Clocks and Robes sections. There, just beside the option to change appearance, is the Hood on/off toggle.

6) Targetting Enemies

Targeting opponents in fights sometimes is a bit tricky. There are chances that you might get attacked by opponents who are not in your field of vision. Some instances also occur when you can see the enemies, but the spells don’t necessarily go toward them as they are not in the direct center of the screen. This is because of a default option called Camera-Relative Targeting. Toggle this off, and you can feel the difference while casting spells.

5) Easy way to get potions

Potions are a huge part of Hogwarts Academia. Many classes need you to complete making a potion to advance. Additionally, these are great during combats and explorations as well. To avoid tediously making these, wizards can get hold of the blueprint of Hopping Pot Spell Craft from Tomes and Scrolls.

Yes, it is a bit expensive and cost 3000. But, these help in generating random potions, and wizards even have a chance to get rare potions from this. Make sure you have enough space though, as you cannot remove potions and will have to use them to clear up space.

4) Wingardium Leviosa– not needed

Though this is one of the most popular spells, especially as it was featured in the movies, these necessarily don’t have much use in the game. Yes, it helps in moving objects around. But the problem is that the spell takes up a slot, which could have been used for a better spell.

The solution is, you can put Accio to replace the spell. There is an inbuilt option that casts Wingardium Leviosa automatically. That is right, the developers seem to be lenient in that case. Pressing the Accio spell button longer gives the effect of the former spell.

3) NPC controls are better

Compared to many other popular AAA titles, the NPC movement in Hogwarts Legacy is way better. The sole reason is that when you are following someone during a quest, they would always be in front of you.

That is, even if you sprint, the characters will be running ahead of you to give correct directions of where to go. So, the problem of running ahead of NPCs in missions in other games and waiting till they reach the destination is no longer problematic in this game.

2) Snowman features

During the winter season, you can spot snowmen in Hogwarts. This not only is an aesthetic attraction, but you can also even interact with them. That is, if wizards throw snowballs at them, the snowman throws them back. You can even cast spells to melt the poor snowman down.

1) Changing banners in the great hall

Yes, you read it right. You can change the banners in the great hall to your house’s colors. During the quest of the Polyjuice, where you become the headmaster, there is an interesting interaction you can do to change the banner colors.

You need to go into the Great Hall, and there near the podium stands Scorpe. But what you might miss out on is the marker near Scrope on the podium. Interacting with it will change the banners to your house colors. This is a momentary thing though, and later the flags will get changed.
