The director got his hands on Microsoft’s latest, most powerful Xbox console; it has long been established that Sakurai is a long-time fan of gaming consoles. And he added Xbox to his collection of consoles following the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 5. He took to Twitter to announce his recent acquisition of the Xbox Series X.

Xbox in Japan

The company has finally gained some recognition from the gaming community in Japan. Because of the addition of Game Pass alongside xCloud, the latest Series X|S has done incredibly well as compared to its predecessor.

In fact, the console has already surpassed the total sales the Xbox One has made during its life cycle. Since its release in July, the Series X|S has sold more than 100,000 units in Japan. To put things in perspective, 114,726 units of Xbox One were sold since its 7 and a half years on retail.
