Horizon Forbidden West is about to get a huge release at the beginning of the new year. Fans of the franchise have been waiting for the sequel ever since it received an official announcement. After the big success of the first installment, they are looking forward to starting a fresh adventure with Aloy.

The first game, which arrived in 2017, became a massive hit due to its creativity in blending nature with machines. Now that the second entry is just nearly two months away, the hype is gaining momentum.

New reports just revealed that the game will feature an extended skill tree with various playing styles.

Horizon Forbidden West skill tree details

As per the recent discussions of analysts, on the website Game Informer, it was revealed that players will witness tons of new skills in the second entry. Guerrilla has added a vast skill tree with six new playing styles for Aloy, the iconic female protagonist.

It implies that PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West will introduce a fresh skill set and weapons to the players when they begin their campaigns.

While Hero Zero Dawn had extensive skills and combinations, the developers of Forbidden West are focused on adding more to the sequel. Here’s the full list of six playing styles of Aloy that all the players can choose from, upon the release of Horizon Forbidden West:

• Warrior: Mainly focuses on close combat situations
• Trapper: Emphasizes on multiple traps
• Survivor: Ideal for health and resources
• Infiltrator: Focuses a lot on stealth
• Hunter: Mainly stresses on ranged attacks
• Machine Master: Highly emphasizes on hacking

In terms of comparison with its predecessor, Horizon Forbidden West will have 20 to 30 new unlockable skills, along with the six styles. This, in turn, means that the sequel is expanding on the already great skill tree system of the first installment. It will be also interesting to see whether Forbidden West features more dialogue choices or not. Because Horizon Zero Dawn had limited situations where players could choose between the lines.

Forbidden West makes its ultimate debut on February 18, 2022.
