YouTube has changed a lot in the last couple of years. Just before the pandemic, PewDiePie was the most subscribed channel on the platform and MrBeast was still in his initial days. But then the historical battle between PewDiePie and T-Series took place.

But at a certain point, the war went out of hand. As some individuals took the joke a little too far. In 2019, there were attacks on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Around 49 people were killed in the shootout. The Shooter scrawled a plethora of memes on the spot as his manifesto, including the “Subscribe to PewDiePie” slogan.

PewDiePie accepts that he can’t compete with MrBeast anymore
