The Streamer Awards 2022 have just concluded honoring some of the entities that have been a constant source of content and entertainment for fans globally. The award show was hosted in a grand ceremony in West Hollywood where we could see some of the top streaming names show up on the red carpet.
One of the controversies that lightened up in this show was about the prestigious ‘Streamer of the Year’ title. While Ludwig won the title and his fans were elated by this, however, this award did not sit right with the xQc fans. Let’s have a look at how they have reacted on Twitter.
After the year he’s had with setting up multiple tournaments, music video cameos, show hosting gigs, the illustrious 31-day extravaganza that was his Subathon and more, the esteemed Streamer of the Year award goes to @LudwigAhgren #TheStreamerAwards

xQc fans disappointed with Ludwig grabbing the prestigious ‘Streamer of the Year’ title
The nominations for the Streamer Awards show were finalized on February 20 and the next day, the voting process began. Some xQc fans have started claiming that the panel of members chosen by the organizers boosted the share of votes for Ludwig. Let’s have a look at what fans have to say on Twitter.
Here is a user wondering how come xQc did not win this title.
Not to be that guy but how did X not win this

Here is another user who tries to use the rationale about xQc having a more loyal or larger fan base. They say it would have been less surprised if it was won by Mizkif rather than Ludwig.
How is it even possible that he won ? Not tryna hate but XQC without a doubt has the largest/loyal fan base. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Mizkif but Ludwig ????

Another fan thinks even Ludwig would have realized that this award rightfully belonged to xQc.
When ludwig won, I though it was a bit. I was expecting him to give it to X at some point during the speech. ROBBED

Some fans think that these awards are in fact rigged. The criterion when it comes to winning these awards is 70% fan votes and 30% from the panel chosen by the organizers.
RIGGED I STAND WITH XQC

i'm not about to hop into xqc defense beyond jokes, but it was 70/30 fans to "judge panel" without saying who or what influence that was. it could have been x popular vote but lud panel vote and we can't really know. it's not that deep, but it is technically possible. pic.twitter.com/EpAslQAfvv

However, some fans were bold enough to acknowledge that Ludwig rightfully deserved this title. Ludwig had made a transition from Twitch to YouTube and also conducted a 31-day sub-athon. Whereas, xQc, while having a larger viewership count, never made any urges to his fans to vote for himself.
Lud literally streamed 31 days straight. Plus has done a TON for other CCs across multiple genres like with his gameshows. He's had a larger impact on the industry than X.
