Since its initial reveal during The Game Awards event last year, Star Wars Eclipse has made lots of headlines. Due to its setting in the space-based saga, it is expected to be a delightful experience if the player is interested in titles like this one. After watching the first trailer in 2021, fans are looking forward to its grand debut.

Now, thanks to a newly revealed detail, it has come to light that Star Wars Eclipse is indirectly related to an iconic gaming series. Which is also a fan favorite saga, in itself, involving two beloved characters. And that series is none other than Naughty Dog’s ‘The Last of Us’.

Star Wars Eclipse game inspired by The Last of Us!

A widely followed page on Twitter, AccountNGT, recently shared some interesting tweets on the Star Wars Eclipse project. While mentioning the information available so far on the game, they also dropped an amazing angle on the future Star Wars game.

The account mentioned that Star Wars Eclipse takes inspiration from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us in terms of story and gameplay. It’s because the developing team at Quantic Dream Montreal is working on the game’s story and art. Which is, in turn, heavily influenced by Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic world featuring Ellie and Joel.

Well, that will be awesome to witness if Star Wars Eclipse’s design is inspired by The Last of Us. However, it’s too early to tell because the completion will definitely take a long time before an actual launch.

As for Eclipse, the project itself, Quantic Dream will set it in an unexplored area of the Outer Rim. And that’s during the High Republic Era, also known as the Golden age of the Jedi.

The title will be an action-adventure, multi-character game, and it will include various choice-based scenarios for the players. They will also have to choose their own path during the progression of the story.

Star Wars Eclipse is yet to receive an official release date from the side of Quantic Dream.
