Kyedae talks about her situation and how she is dealing with it

The announcement Kyedae made on Twitter shook the Esports space. Many were offering their support towards her, commenting their good wishes for the 21-year-old. Now, the streamer herself has explained what is her game plan to face the disease. Apparently, it seems like Kyedae is taking the situation like a champ, and not allowing negative thoughts to infringe on her mindset.

When fans asked her about how TenZ and her family members reacted to the news, she made a surprising revelation. TenZ at the moment was busy participating in the first major VCT event of the year. So she did not inform him until his matchups were over.

Chemotherapy and her future streams

She announced to her community that she would be undergoing chemotherapy soon. The fans were worried about the side effects of doing chemo medication as it results in excessive hair loss. Especially as Kyedae and TenZ were recently seen donning their new hairstyles.

She hopes that she doesn’t lose all her hair because of the therapy, and stated that she will be doing the ‘cold caps’ to counter the situation. For clarity, these are used to prevent Chemotherapy medicine to affect the hair follicles extensively.

She told her fans that all she has been doing after receiving the news was laughing about it. Even in her latest stream in which she was engaged in competitive rank push with her better half TenZ, the streamer was seen making jokes about her current condition.

She thinks that getting saddened about the situation will not result in anything useful. And her strategy to cope with all that has been happening is to make jokes about it.

Fans though will not be getting her streams regularly. She stated that she might reduce the streaming time, but will not completely take a step back. The entire Valorant community is now in prayers for the fast recovery of the talented 100 Thieves streamer.
