The North American eSports organizations are going through tough times. FaZe Clan is undergoing financial turmoil, while Cloud9 released their star Valorant player Jaccob “Yay” Whiteaker from the roster. Recently, Disguised Toast-owned eSports organization DSG kicked out the all-female Valorant Game Changers team.

From Charles “MoistCr1TiKaL” Christopher White Jr. to Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, many elite streamers are now owning teams or organizations. The Twitch streamer Jeremy “Disguised Toast” has also started his eSports organization this year called DSG, which has only one team after he kicked out the all-female team.

Disguised Toast announced the roster for VCT Game Changers, which included renowned streamers like Kyedae, QuaterJade, Sydeon, and TrulyTenzin. Further, the former Game Changers player for Immortals Lydia “Tupperware” Wilson, and the former coach for Complexity Corey “Ruin” Hartog also got on board.

This DSG Game Changers squad faced a lot of criticism from the community for having streams on the team instead of professional players. This streamer-studded squad managed to defeat SHIFTX with just a week of practice, however, preparations fell short against Evil Geniuses. Toast’s Game Changers faced a crushing defeat against their second enemy team.

After the 13-0 defeat, Jeremy announced firing the entire Game Changer roster on Twitter. He further said on his live stream, “You failed to qual, you get fired. If you lose a LOCK//IN tournament, you get fired. I don’t make the rules, I learned this by watching other orgs. You don’t make MSI, that contract I was gonna offer you? I’m pulling it, I’m ghosting you guys. Welcome to the real world. You get 30 old, you are fired.”

The entire purpose of DSG’s Game Changers team was to generate buzz and attention. Moreover, they were successful by getting a record-breaking viewership for their matches. Toast even shared on Twitter that their GC match got the same amount of views as the GC Grand Finals last year, which was over 60,000.
