In May 2021, Ibai Llanos hosted La Velada del Año, the creator’s boxing event. It became the most viewed sporting event on Twitch, beating Drake and Ninja’s Fortnite stream. To talk numbers, the event allured 3.3 million fans who cheered for their favorite Spanish stars as they fought for glory. However, the fights weren’t the only highlight of the event, as it also featured streamers calling out to match up.

For instance, Spanish superstar El Rubius called out xQc for a duel in the next edition. And to everyone’s surprise, Felix accepted the invite under one condition. He would only fight Rubius if none of them trained for the event. Sadly, Rubius did not make a public statement after it, leaving this topic in the dark.

But now, fresh information has surfed around the internet showing xQc to mess up. Apparently, he forgot to text the Spanish streamer, leading to the cancellation of the match.

Back in the day when Rubius challenged xQc, he happily accepted the invite. “I’m gonna fold him in half like a f**king stack of papers. I’ll give you guys the response you want. If we both agree to the regimen of no training except for physical conditioning, I’ll fight him next year,” Felix said.

But then the topic slid into the dark with no further update. Interestingly, it looks like there was a silent spark, and it was xQc who missed his chance. “I DM’ed him and I’m like you know, dude that’s how you do this. He’s like it’s a little bit too late. I’m not kidding. Sorry guys,” he revealed. Then, xQc even opened his DM with Rubius, which gave more clarity.

In that, Lengyel messaged him, asking him whether they would fight on that stream. And well, Rubius did accept claiming to fight and text him again on Discord. Sadly, xQc claims to have forgotten about it, making it too late for the fight. Plus, it was a prestigious event with tight rules, so it was next to impossible to slide in a last-minute fight.

Fans weren’t quite convinced looking at it as his Twitch chat blew up in seconds. So, xQc kept convincing that he was unaware of the deadline, or else the fight would happen. Last but not the least, Felix’s statements make us wonder, would he really take up a fight in 2024?
