Everyone is aware of bans, no matter how big or small an eSports player is. Games have banned professional players on numerous occasions in the eSports sector for any misconduct. However, there have been instances where gamers have unfortunately been banned, despite not doing any wrong. The Fortnite streamer Cody “Clix” falls into the latter kind.

Recently, the Twitch streamer got banned from Fortnite for 14 days after competing in the $100 Cash Cup, following his attempt to try to expose a fellow competitor stream snipping him. After the ban, Clix tried appealing to Fortnite to unban him. While that did not happen, his unusual way of appealing gathered a lot of attention.

The Fortnite pro just posted a small video in which he attempts to show his frustration at not being able to play Fortnite. In the video, he was trying to jump from the balcony, trying to consume incredibly hot peppers, or throwing a toaster in the bathtub. Meanwhile, his ban message from Epic Games was pouring around him.

Clix possibly wanted to express that playing this battle royale game was his life. He even captioned the video, saying, “I just want to play Fortnite.” He also used the hashtag #FreeClix that his followers have been using to showcase their support towards the Twitch streamer.

As for the ban, it’s only two weeks long. So he would be able to resume playing Fortnite again once he served the ban period. But this ban has prevented him from participating in multiple upcoming events like the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) NA Grand Finals, the subsequent FNCS Season, and the Copenhagen LAN.

Missing such huge Fortnite events would be a huge blow for Clix. But at least his isn’t as severe as FaZe Jarvis, who received a permanent ban. In 2019, he tried to check whether Fortnite permanently bans those who use cheats, using an alternate account. However, Epic Games not only banned that alternate account but also his main one.

How did fans react to Clix’s video?

Everyone showcased immense support for the Twitch streamer in this video. Some enquired about the update with Epic Games, while also pointing out him wearing a Fortnite shirt in the video. Fans even suggested he try other games in the meantime.
