Here’s what Rotten Tomato has to say about Gran Turismo: “Gran Turismo’s brisk action and feel-good underdog drama are undermined by its loose telling of the fact-based story, but this is still a generally solid racing movie.”
Gran Turismo movies are basically based on the real-life story of Jann Madenborough, who has been a Gran Turismo player since his childhood. As a prolific player in the game, and as the game depicted close-to-life car details and mechanisms, Jann went on to win a series of Nissan-sponsored video game competitions and become an actual professional racing car driver.
