Not many days passed, since Starfield’s in-game achievements were leaked, and Bethesda’s Director of Public Relations Matt Frary revealed his opinion on the matter. Talking about his dislike for leaks, Frary further stated that he even hates big production houses simply choose to reveal leaks for promotions- “When the big outlets do it to get around embargoes they have on their own code? Oh, I really don’t like that. “

Although Frary didn’t refer to Starfield while talking about his opinion on game leaks, fans could totally link his comment to the recent Starfield leak about fifty in-game achievements for players. Following Bethesda’s long hard work for Starfield, Frary’s statement can be easily justified by saying that leaks shouldn’t spoil the years-long preparation for Starfield’s release in September.

Fans raised support for Frary’s comment

While you may think that people are truly satisfied with Starfield’s theories and leaks, then you are wrong. Since Bethesda’s Matt Frary spoke against game leaks, his Twitter thread showed many comments from fans in his favor. People were spotted talking about how sources reveal game details as leaks for small-time fame- “It pisses me off because every time someone leaks something for their 5 minutes of internet fame, they make it harder for everyone else to get access in the future.”

People accepted that game leaks surely disappoint the developers and their hard work- “That is why I stopped covering leaks awhile ago. When I first started my channel, I was a bit ignorant about how they affected devs.”

The majority of the community agreed that game leaks are lame even if it makes buyers excited- “I understand people are excited but leaking info is just such a lame way to reveal stuff IMO.”

People asked if Bethesda knows any means to stop these leaks- “Can Bethesda bar the code so leakers can’t continue?”
