Deadrop: FPS or a racing shooter?

During the stream, a teaser for what appears to be a separate racing mode for Deadrop has been released. The teaser video lasts for 30 seconds and showcases cars racing down dimly lit streets while occasionally engaging in combat, suggesting vehicular combat gameplay akin to titles like Twisted Metal.

Initially, people assumed that the racing mode was a completely separate project due to its distinct genre and the presence of its exclusive Midnight Ride logo. The accompanying tweet includes a Deadrop hashtag and labels it as Snapshot VII. This is usually how Midnight Society presents its Deadrop gameplay previews.

It is speculated that the racing mode is likely a part of Deadrop, as it would be quite challenging for a relatively new studio like Midnight Society to handle two different projects simultaneously. Midnight Society has not officially clarified what Midnight Ride is, but it is teasing a full reveal on October 20. The full reveal is expected to provide more details and clarity on the racing mode.
