One such name is David Dobrik who, although recently has been a little silent, was once one of the biggest names on YouTube.

Apart from this, Dobrik also has a very inspiring story where he used to work as a caretaker in Slovakia, and later move to LA with only a limited amount of money in his pocket. This was once revealed by him when he said that he once gathered all the money that he could by taking care of old people and then left his country to move out to America to pursue his YouTube dream.

David Dobrik moved to LA with only $1600

In one of his interviews with the Tom Ward Story, from three years back, David Dobrik gave an exclusive take and how he used to work in a retirement home to collect that money to move to LA. He said, “I worked at a retirement home…I think it worked there for like eight months to a year…I didn’t touch that money until the day I was leaving for LA and I had $1,600.”

Notably, he also revealed that he was not comfortable attending college, thus his father gave him an ultimatum regarding the same, giving him the choice of either attending the institution or leaving his house. Dobrik said, “I definitely didn’t want to go to college, and yeah their [his parents] ultimatum was I either go to college or I move out. So I moved out.”

Although Dobrik moved out of his house, he still said that he followed his father’s advice. Explaining what his father advised him, he said, “my dad would always say one thing that I really liked…he’d always be like ‘whatever you do, like whether you’re a garbage man or like a FedEx employee or an athlete…do it the best to your ability.”

It is well known that David Dobrik was the king of YouTube vlogging a few years back. But after a lot of controversies, he went away from the platform only to return with a banger. This time, he has been working towards opening a pizzeria with his childhood friend Ilya Fedorovich.

According to his recent Instagram stories, the 26-year-old YouTuber will be integrating his pizza place ‘Doughbriks Pizza’ on November 12, 2022.
