The third episode of the HBO Max’s The Last of Us is garnering praise like no other. The series based on Naughty Dog’s magnum opus is on its path to becoming one of the greatest pieces of visual storytelling that graced the screens this year. One of the leads of the show Murray Bartlett recently appeared in Stephen Colbert’s show, talking about his experience working with Nick Offerman in the episode.

This episode featured the characters of Bill and Frank who briefly appeared in the original game, which was released back in 2013. In the game, their relationship was very vague, it was almost left for the interpretation of the players. Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann took the open-ended piece and wrote a standalone episode that is, according to some, “one of the greatest moments in television history”.

In the Late Night Show, Stephen Colbert asked Murray if he will ever actually look for Nick Offerman in a real post-apocalyptic situation, as Nick is the one who plays the survivalist, Bill, in the show. In answer to this, Murray said, “I would be rushing to find Nick Offerman and possibly pushing his wife Megan out of the way… he is very practical, and I also think he could kill an elk.”

When Stephen asked what he would be offering to the relationship, Murray said, “Good point. I have a great sense of humor. And I am a good cook. I could saute the Elk.” He continued talking about his experience in the show and how great it felt to be a part of a such great story.

Will there be a White Lotus Spin-off show around Murray’s character?

In the interview, he also briefly touched upon his performance in one of his most acclaimed roles, Armond in White Lotus. He teased that there could be a future spin-off based on his character. He said, “So I think maybe like an Armond origin story? I’m just throwing that out there.”
