After conquering the silver screens all over the world, Marvel Heroes are here to make their mark on the gaming scene. Under the direction of Insomniac studios, Marvel’s The Spider-Man garnered a lot of praise and an overwhelmingly positive reception from critics as well as fans.

But clearing the field with Spider-Man, Insomniac is back with another Sony PlayStation exclusive, the Wolverine. Diving into the gritty part of the Marvel Universe, the upcoming Wolverine game promises to deliver a much more mature-themed and gory game that makes the players feel like the mutant berserker, Wolverine.  

Although the initial announcement of the game was made almost two years ago, there haven’t been many updates on the game’s development ever since then. Getting a little impatient with all the waiting, fans took things into their own hands and created a short gameplay teaser based on the official announcement teaser. 

The fan-made Marvel Wolverine game is just what everyone needs

On February 24, 2023, a YouTube channel named TeaserPlay uploaded a short teaser trailer on their channel. The name of the video was, “Marvel’s Wolverine – Gameplay Showcase | Fan Concept”. In the video, they showcased a two minutes gameplay of a fan-made game that continued the ‘bar scene’ from the original Wolverine trailer.

“In this video we are going to imagine Wolverine, According to the rumors, the game will be an semi-open world and will use realistic elements, official information about the world and environmental is not available yet, but we tried to imagine a neo-western atmosphere for game,” read the description of the video. 

The fans couldn’t be happier!

The short video showed what the actual game could be. They started sharing their praises and claimed that if the real one is anywhere close to this, they will be more than happy. “lets hope insomniac will make something like this cause this would be awesome i do trust insomniac that they will do something like this cant wait for this game,” said one of the fans. 

Marvel’s The Wolverine is currently in development by Insomniac studios. Its expected release date is Autumn 2024.
