In a recent twitter post, CouRageJD expressed his disappointment with Season 4 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The game has received mixed reviews from the community and high profile gamers.
I love Warzone. I love Call of Duty. I want people to play this game…
But, I’m disappointed in Season 4 so far.
No changes to the overpowered weapons. Need to run Grau in skill based matchmaking lobbies to have a chance.
Not a single map change of value. Game feels stale.

In an earlier tweet, he also mocked the game and the developers over not fixing issues that were prevalent from day 1.

The new season was controversial from the get-go. Infinity Ward had announced a 44GB update for Xbox users, but the actual update size came around 84GB. The developers did take action to resolve the issue.
Now that one problem’s come to an end, Infinity Ward is facing lashing comments from players. Season 4 was hyped for a long period and, so far, many are disappointed with the update. Moreover, Courage’s issues are clearly well-received by others.
Many replied to Courage’s tweet. You can read some of them below.

Good additions with mid game events but you are correct there are too many problems/imbalances that have been ignored that I think they can fix and instead have focus else where. Hopefully some new spice soon

The lack of map changes disappointed me. Then I saw 15 supply choppers rise out of the ground and realized why EVERYONE is running full teams of RPGs…
I still enjoy it but I do feel like these updates went in the wrong direction for me.

As things stand, gamers seem divided about the issue. Some acknowledge the positives in the update while others have issues similar to Courage. Infinity Ward could roll out a smaller update to fix their worries, but that may not happen any time soon.
What are your thoughts on the new season? Has the game evolved with the update or is it lacking?
