Xbox makers looking to shake things up
Microsoft’s announcement of the acquisition of Call of Duty developers Activision-Blizzard didn’t fail to get the right reactions out of the gaming community. While many were excited to see what Microsoft planned with the deal, their competition didn’t take things so lightly. PlayStation maker Sony made all efforts to overturn the deal by bickering FTC into taking Microsoft to court. An injunction was requested by the FTC, which has been recently denied.

While Microsoft maintained that this takeover doesn’t give them any additional advantages over its competition, the verdict will undoubtedly make the folks over there happy. One thing Microsoft has always fallen behind in is the roster of exclusive titles. PlayStation can boast supremely impressive exclusive titles to its name, while Microsoft rarely gets the honor. Hence, it wasn’t long before Microsoft did something to create something new that is unique to the Xbox series.
