Collaborations with some of the biggest developers and publishers are on the horizon and Xbox is looking to make the most of it. The community is stoked to learn that a new limited-edition controller may be announced soon as a joint venture with the upcoming Forza Motorsport.

Limited edition Forza-inspired controller to arrive soon

A tweet by an industry insider has revealed that “Jemez” may arrive soon. “Jemez” is reportedly a new limited-edition Forza-themed Xbox controller. From the initial reports, the controller does look like something to behold. The controllers are also speculated to be priced at $69.99. However, an official release date is yet unknown for the controller.

Despite this shroud of mystery, the community thinks a tentative date can be deduced with logical thinking. Forza Motorsport is scheduled for release on October 10, this year. Hence, the possibility of the new Xbox controller launching before that date will not be unfounded.

Xbox makers looking to shake things up

Microsoft’s announcement of the acquisition of Call of Duty developers Activision-Blizzard didn’t fail to get the right reactions out of the gaming community. While many were excited to see what Microsoft planned with the deal, their competition didn’t take things so lightly. PlayStation maker Sony made all efforts to overturn the deal by bickering FTC into taking Microsoft to court. An injunction was requested by the FTC, which has been recently denied.

While Microsoft maintained that this takeover doesn’t give them any additional advantages over its competition, the verdict will undoubtedly make the folks over there happy. One thing Microsoft has always fallen behind in is the roster of exclusive titles. PlayStation can boast supremely impressive exclusive titles to its name, while Microsoft rarely gets the honor. Hence, it wasn’t long before Microsoft did something to create something new that is unique to the Xbox series.
