What games does Nintendo have lined up for the holiday season?
In addition to this major announcement, Nintendo also has a bunch of titles lined up for this holiday season. Firstly, Metroid Dread is expected to release on 8th October 2021. The action-adventure title follows the events of 2002s Metroid Fusion as Samus Aran faces a robotic nemesis named ZDR.

According to videogame director, Masahiro Sakurai, the final DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also arrive before the end of 2021. The new character will be the next and final character for Fighters Pass 2. As a result, fans are hoping that it will be an iconic one like Dr. Eggman or Sonic the Hedgehog.
Other rumors for the event surround Wii U games coming to the Switch. The most demanded game from previous Nintendo consoles has to be Legend of Zelda. However, the Breath of the Wild sequel has already been delayed to 2022. Thus, it is highly unlikely that we will see it at the event.
