The latter part of this year is looking like a buffet for gamers. From the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 to FromSoftware’s Armored Core VI, the coming months of this year are filled with new AAA titles. However, one much-awaited title still does not have a release date. That title is none other than Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2.

The development team has kept all information about the game under wraps. Although this method of keeping secrets has kept the hype alive, it also led to unclarity among fans. And to clarify these doubts, the Insomniac development team has to come forward and address the issues.

Spider-Man 2 is going to be a solo adventure

This may come as a surprise to many fans, but Insomniac Games is developing the sequel as a solo adventure. This also means fans won’t be able to swing around as Peter Parker and Miles Morales together. Either Insomniac will give the players the option to switch between the two characters, or there will be a specific set of missions for them both.

This fact also coincides with the 2021 PS blog about the game’s revelation. The blog explicitly stated, “We’re so thrilled to continue the journey of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in their most epic single-player adventure yet, coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 consoles in 2023.

However, fans of the upcoming PlayStation title were disappointed to hear this revelation. Many were excited to swing around together with the two Spider-Mans announced for the sequel. This revelation also denies the claims of the game’s voice actor.

Miles Morales actor earlier teased the game to be co-op

Earlier in SacAnime Summer 2022, Nadji Jeter had hinted at the option of co-op being in the game. The voice actor for Miles Morales had suggested this while answering one of the questions for the upcoming sequel. This led to an uproar among Spider-Man fans, who were excited about this new feature.

But the latest tweet from the developers has silenced all fan expectations. It is still possible that looking at fan demands, Insomniac releases a co-op update later. Till then, fans should wait for the upcoming PS Showcase to get information about the new title.
