This huge library of Co-Op games on Switch raises a question: which one is the best? There is no definitive answer to this question. But the recently released phenomenally successful two-player game by Electronic Arts, “It Takes Two” stands as one of the most prominent competitors for the title.
Is ‘It Takes Two’ by EA the best Co-Op game on Nintendo Switch?
It Takes Two is an action-adventure platform video game developed by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts. Initially, it was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in March 2021. The game was ported to the Nintendo Switch in November 2022.
So far, the game has overwhelmingly positive reviews all across the board. With a perfect 10/10 on steam; a solid score of 88, and a user score of 9.1 on Metacritic, the game is garnering very positive receptions and reviews from the fans and the community.
On November 7, 2022, Youtuber BeatEmUps made a video, reviewing the game. In the video, he said It Takes Two is the “Quintessential Co-op experience.” He praised the game for its ingenuity as he said, “this game is built for Co-Op” as it is impossible to play this game alone.
He also added how beautiful the game is and that there is content packed to the brim. It Takes Two is an action game, that is filled with mini-games, that offers strategic elements and challenges for the players in every corner.
Do both players have to buy the game in order to play?
Thankfully, no. Only one person needs to purchase the game. It Takes Two has a Friend’s Pass system, when someone buys the game, they receive a friend’s pass, which in term can be redeemed by the second player to download the game for free.
So in the end, if you are looking for a Co-Op game that is fun, engaging, and also best to play with your friends on the Nintendo Switch, then “It Takes Two” might be the best choice for you.
