Elon Musk is known for his passion for various things, and gaming is definitely one of them. The Tesla co-founder has time and again shown how enthusiastic he is about video games. In fact, the billionaire has recently expressed very high interest in one of the most amazing releases of 2022, FromSoftware’s Elden Ring.

However, passion aside, when it comes to the actual gameplay itself, his build in Elden Ring has become a topic of discussion for many of the players of the fantasy RPG. Going by the impressions from a majority of the gamers, so far, it seems like Elon Musk’s build is not the one that can be recommended to any player of Elden Ring.

But is it really that bad or is it actually effective? Let’s find out.

The Elden Ring build of Elon Musk is not focused and makes you vulnerable to death!

It all started in May when an interested user asked the billionaire about his own ER setup for his character. Soon, he replied by explaining his build, which was quite interesting to see at first. But then many people noticed that it was just not the way to play a game like Elden Ring.

To begin with, the build that he has is of Intelligence and Dexterity. He uses the shield in the left hand, staff in right with rapier & claws fast switch.

As mentioned above, he possesses the Lusat’s Glintstone Staff, Rogier’s Rapier, and the Moonveil Katana in one hand. While in the other, there is Brass Shield and Carian Knight’s Shield, as he described in a tweet from May 24. You can see it below.

Now going by this arrangement, it seems like Elon Musk thinks he needs two shields: one for magic and one for doing physical attacks on his enemies. However, in his case, he could’ve just gone with one of them, which is the Carian Knight’s Shield. Simply because it’s a little better at blocking magic than the Brass Shield. Plus it’s also good at blocking physical attacks as well.

Adding onto this same topic, since his character is Mage, he doesn’t need a shield in the first place. Because characters of this class can cast spells from a safe distance. Had Musk removed the shield and sword, he would’ve been able to perform nimble rolls without having to block much.

That was so simple but Elon made it complicated in this FromSoftware title. But that’s not it, unfortunately.

In his tweet from May 24, he also wrote that his “equipped load will be lower if fast roll is needed.” However, it doesn’t seem to be a good idea at all to change one’s armor in the middle of a battle just to perform a fast roll. Then there’s the problem of excessive load that Elon Musk’s build is having, which is just not the way to enter the Lands Between.

Elden Ring is a game in which movement is crucial and the more load you have, the more difficult it can become for you to perform most of the actions.

All things considered, the criticism Elon Musk is facing regarding his build is somewhat justified. But then again, like any other regular player, he’s not a pro at all. So one should definitely keep that in mind. Maybe he will realize his weakness in this game and make the much needed improvements in the near future.
