IShowSpeed‘s trip to Paris may not have the highlight he was looking for but the streamer certainly did the right thing. The 67th Ballon d’Or just concluded hours ago and Lionel Messi bagged his eighth win at the French capital. As a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, the FIFA streamer didn’t get to see his idol win the prestigious award, but he did help Messi to have a memorable night nonetheless.

IShowSpeed’s streaming career reached new heights at the French event. The American streamer broke his record in terms of live viewers numbers and shouldn’t be complaining about the verdict of the Ballon d’Or jury. The content creator rose to prominence with his soccer-related content, and it was the elite European soccer event that helped him attain the new milestone.

The teenage streamer is famous for his eccentric behavior and soccer-oriented videos. While he is widely popular among his fans, he is nowhere close to reaching the status of the streaming giants. During last night’s Ballon d’Or event, the American streamer was seen visiting the event for the first time. His live streaming of the event saw a record-setting over 500,000 viewers at one point. This sets a new personal record for the streamer and should be the highlight of his Paris trip.

Well, IShowSpeed didn’t get to see Ronaldo win, but he did get something truly incredible from covering the event. This year’s Ballon d’Or had Messi, Ronaldo, and Haaland slated as the most probable candidates to win the award. However, former England captain and Manchester United legend David Beckham announced Messi as the winner and IShowSpeed couldn’t contain his disappointment.

Although he wasn’t on the same page as the show organizers, IShowSpeed ended up starting a thundering round of applause for the 2022 World Cup Winner. Even though Ronaldo has better stats for the ongoing season, Messi’s 10-goal contribution to Argentina’s triumph was certainly the deciding factor, it seems.

Speed had a blast at the 2023 Ballon d’Or

IShowSpeed, maintaining his typical take on life and things, didn’t let the event dampen his mood for too long. He was seen leaving the Ballon d’Or with a broad grin on his face after getting the phone number of the daughter of the Brazilian legend Pele. He also had a hilarious interaction with the Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.

Haaland, despite breaking and making new records during his City campaign, and winning the coveted Treble, was overshadowed by Messi’s elaborate career. However, he will have all the opportunity to etch his name in the books and we hope IShowSpeed continues making waves in the streaming industry in the coming years as well!
