There are quite many shows that have captivated the audience in the history of television. Arguably, the most prominent one in this department is Saturday Night Live. Most netizens would surely have watched at least one episode of SNL. With quite a lot of episodes, the New York-based TV show has garnered millions in viewer counts. But there sure have been criticisms as well.

Ludwig and his old mates joined in to have a discussion about the popular show and why they think it is ‘cringe’ to some degree.

Do Ludwig and his friends think SNL is cringe?

For more than 40 years, the SNL has been a prominent show for the American audience. In the long run, it managed to amass quite a fan following. But surely, like every entertainment piece, this too was not devoid of critics. In a recent podcast that featured Ludwig, SNL became the center of attention for a while. Lud was having a series of hilarious and interesting interactions with his friends from Arizona State University in the podcast.

The group was laughing and had conversations on various topics when SNL came as a topic of interest. The conversations began with Ludwig recollecting how Michel Longfellow was roped in for SNL. Apparently, Longfellow was an ASU alumnus who also was part of ASU comedy.

“Isn’t SNL cringe,” was the immediate response of Lud’s friend. According to Ludwig’s buddies, SNL is both cringe and also a goal for many comedians. The platform that the show offers is massive. Thus, it would be a perfect launch pad for comedians to shoot up the popularity ladder.

They were seen recollecting some of the ‘cringe-worthy’ moments, and the guys jotted down Elon Musk’s skit and other similar ones under the list. Ludwig also asked an interesting question to his friend. That is, if they got an opportunity to be the head writer of SNL, will they accept it? Interestingly, the answer was no.

Additionally, Lud thinks that though many of the skits performed by SNL are deemed cringe, the talent present there is ‘dope’. He considers the artists who are present in the SNL team to be quite talented, and the performers who rose from the show are doing quite well in real life.

The next episode of SNL would air on May 6 with Pete Davidson as the host and Lil Uzi Vert as the guest.
