‘Twisted Metal: The Series’ is created by ‘Zombieland’ and ‘Deadpool’ famed Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. This series offers a humorous batshit trek through a Mad Max-style dystopian America. Dystopian courier John Doe teams up with car thief Quiet (played by Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz, respectively) to face some peculiar characters like Sweet Tooth (voiced by Will Arnett) in a race of existence.

On the other hand, the “Twisted Metal” gaming series was about sheer destruction. All you have to do is select your deadly weapons, like missiles, machine guns, rockets, bombs, and what not, choose your vehicle, and jump into the demolition arena. If you can survive all the tolls and if the last missile just misses your head by touching your hair, then you are the winner of the battle.

Since it’s an adaptation, there will be a lot of differences as well. But the important part is maintaining the core value of the game and depicting on screen the true idea of the game. And to a certain extent, this series has done it. It’s a hilariously absurd and crazy series, exactly as the game was.
