Seeing the play, Kimmel asked, “A play like that is it more embarrassing when you don’t complete the pass after you do the whole thing?” To this, Mahomes jokingly admitted, “We worked on that play for so long and then I knew. We tried to disguise it with all that different stuff happening before the snap. And then I saw 22 Point directly at the guy I was gonna throw it to. That was like, I don’t know if I like my alignment.”

Kimmel then asked about the play and what it’s called. To this, Mahomes said, “Wylie [Andrew Wylie] who is the guy we were trying to get the ball to is a big Pokemon collector and so it was a Pikachu formation and it was called ‘Gotta Catch ‘Em All’.” Thus, this was the play made by the Chiefs that didn’t land a point but became a cheerful moment to remember.
