What’s next from Nintendo?

While fans are enjoying the latest Super Mario Bros. movie, some fans are starting to ask for more. Journalist Trung Phan agrees with the fans and hopes Mario’s creators release more movies. Furthermore, he asked Mario’s creators to make Goldeneye. For fans that don’t know, Goldeneye 007 was a game released originally for Nintendo 64. The game takes inspiration from the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye. The game is now available on Nintendo Switch Online.

Phan also hopes Nintendo expands on their owned characters more like Super Smash Bros, Metroid, and Zelda. Reddit founder and Serena Williams’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, also backed Phan and hopes these movies become a reality.

While Goldeneye 007 is a game owned by Nintendo, Ohanian thinks the Japanese company does not have the right to use James Bond in a movie. This means Phan’s dream of creating a James Bond universe with Nintendo characters will just be a dream. Nevertheless, the other characters are well within Nintendo’s reach to create movies with.
