In today’s day and age, it seems like Twitch is the go-to platform to livestream on. As a juggernaut in the market, it has easily defeated all the other contenders that have popped up from time to time. However, one contender Twitch has not been able to get rid of is YouTube.

YouTube is on its own warpath to dominate the industry. By signing a bunch of Twitch’s biggest names, YouTube is actively collaborating with popular streamers to make YouTube more like Twitch in terms of features. These include Gifted Memberships and the ability to raid other channels. And the Twitch community is enraged with the platform because of its inability to adapt. And their decision to press on with the controversial boost feature which received immense backlash does not help its case.

MrBeast and Moistcr1tikal

MrBeast and Moistcr1tikal both are quite critical of Twitch and its policy. “Twitch doesn’t have the streaming monopoly it thinks it does.” said, Moistcr1tikal. He commented on YouTube’s strategy and said that they were making big moves. Adding on, he also stated that Twitch keeps spitting on streamers.

MrBeast replied to this via a Tweet and quipped that Twitch is so ignorant that perhaps the company wants YouTube to win.

Twitch has not issued a response yet. However, with the steps YouTube is taking, it appears that if Twitch does not buck up, YouTube will change the status quo to become the more preferred streaming platform. YouTube’s strategy of getting big-name streamers on its side makes complete sense. And as the streamers move, viewers are sure to follow.

Streamers such as TimTheTatMan, Valkyrae, and DrLupo have already taken to YouTube to stream their games, and more big names are expected to follow.
