Within the showcase, Nintendo announced over 30 titles coming to the Switch in the coming future. While there were announcements of games being launched while the event was being aired, some of the more awaited titles will be launched in 2024.

While many Mario titles and DLC were announced during the event, it was Princess Peach who took the spotlight.

In the Nintendo Direct showcase, the company finally broke its silence on the upcoming Princess Peach game. The new game titled, Princess Peach Showtime, is set to release on March 22, 2024.

Mario usually has to be the one to save the princess. However, in this title, the protagonist is Princess Peach herself. This time, things are different as Princess Peach fights the wicked Grape and the sour bunch to save the Sparkle Teatre. Princess Peach and her trusty guardian, Stella, embark on a quest to save the play. Stella allows Peach to use her ribbon to fight the sour bunch.

When the powers of the ribbon fall short, players can transform Peach into one of her many personas. Peach has the ability to transform into Sword Fighter Peach, Detective Peach, Patissier Peach, Kung Fu Peach, and many more transformations that have yet to be announced.
