For now, Elon Musk is taking inspiration from his gamer side to introduce a new change in the social media app. This change, however, has received mixed reactions from fans and critics.

Gaming fan Elon Musk vows to make Twitter a dark-mode-only app

Recently Elon Musk replied to a user that Twitter “will soon only have dark mode”. He called it a better alternative to the light mode as it uses less energy and causes less strain on the eyes. Fans are speculating that this move is coming from the gamer inside Elon Musk.

The multi-billionaire has developed a liking for the latest Activision Blizzard title Diablo IV. He recently talked about his love for gaming with his fans while completing the quests in Diablo IV. Furthermore, Musk also likes playing Halo Infinite and Super Smash Bros. He boasted that he has completed Halo Infinite on Legendary difficulty.

Now his fans are assuming this recent dark mode change is probably due to his gaming side. Some users have come forward to express their dissatisfaction with this move from Elon Musk. They are asking Musk to keep dark mode as the default option while giving an option for a light mode too. Productivity YouTuber Thomas Frank said, “Why not just make dark mode the default? A lot of folks are more comfortable with light mode. Removing it seems like a step backward.”

On the other hand, gamers have openly accepted this move from Musk. They are listing out the advantages of the dark mode which probably appealed to the gamer in Elon Musk.
